Officers were sent to the scene the day of the incident but the victim was uncooperative and said she was injured when she fell down some steps.

The woman sought medical assistance on Monday, at which time police were called.

They were able to find two people who said the husband told them he had stabbed his wife.

The husband was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault about 10:10 last night at the couple's Waiola Street apartment.
