Hawaii beats San Jose State, wins series

Ian Harrington pitched 7 1/3 strong innings, and Justin Frash drove in four runs to help Hawai'i beat San Jose State, 7-3, Sunday to take 2 of 3 in the Western Athletic Conference series.

Harrington (4-1) allowed three runs, eight hits and a walk with five strikeouts. Darrell Fisherbaugh added 1 2/3 scoreless innings for his sixth save.

Frash was 3 for 4, including two doubles. Derek DuPree was 3 for 5 with two RBIs. Robbie Wilder and Jon Hee each was 2 for 4.

The Rainbows improved to 24-9 overall and 2-3 in the WAC, while the Spartans dropped to 20-12 and 3-3.
