TGI Tonight: Our Night Stuff pick is Brit-pop at Next Door

Derek Paiva
Advertiser Staff Writer

Former Smiths bassist Andy Rourke now has an second career as a touring DJ. He spins three decades worth of Brit-pop at NextDoor tonight, in an event that may most excite those who fondly remember the early '80s — but is also meant for all who feel London — or Manchester — calling.

Beg him, and Rourke may even queue "Panic." The man who rocked the bass line in "How Soon Is Now?" will spin his fave tunes from bands like Joy Division and Arcade Fire. Bring a copy of "Meat is Murder" and a pen.

Doors open at 9 p.m.; $7 after 10 p.m.
