Two people were killed and one critically injured in two accidents on O'ahu today.

About 7:20 a.m., a Jeep Cherokee traveling east on the H-1 Freeway's airport viaduct went over a retaining wall and fell about 30 feet to a grassy traffic island below along Middle Street.

One man was killed and another man critically injured. Police said it appeared the man who died was a passenger and that the man who was injured was the driver.

Police said it appears that Cherokee was speeding.

About 2 p.m., a motorcyclist was killed in an accident on Kaukonahua Road in central O'ahu.

Police closed Kaukonahua Road between Wilikina Drive and Kamamanui Road.

In addition, the city medical examiners' office identified a pedestrian who died Wednesday at The Queen's Medical Center after being struck by a city bus as William Chock See Jr., 83.

The man, who was in a crosswalk, was struck by the bus after it turned left onto Kamehameha IV Road from North School Street at 6 a.m. Wednesday.
