UH pitcher Robinson honored by WAC

University of Hawai'i sophomore Kate Robinson, who pitched a perfect game in her first start of the season, has been named Western Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.Robinson, a 2004 Kamehameha Schools graduate, struck out 14 in an 8-0 victory over New Mexico State on Saturday in a game that was called after six innings because of the league's mercy rule. Brooke Wilkins holds the school record for strikeouts with 15 (in 1994).
Robinson is the fifth Rainbow Wahine to earn WAC hitter or pitcher of the week honors this season.
The Rainbow Wahine are 23-14 overall and are in first place in the WAC at 7-1.
