The medical examiner's office has identified the motorist who died Monday after being injured in a two-car collision in 'Aina Haina as Dana Alama-Yap, 40.

Police said Alama-Yap pulled out of a driveway onto Kalaniana'ole Highway's eastbound lanes and into the path of a 1995 Mazda 626 sedan. The collision was reported to police at 6:29 a.m. Alama-Yap died at The Queen's Medical Center.

Alama-Yap's death is O'ahu's 29th traffic fatality and the state's 51st in 2006.

The medical examiner is awaiting confirmation of the identity of a 39-year-old woman killed Saturday in a van crash in La'ie before releasing her name. Big Island police have not yet released the name of a 63-year-old man killed Friday in a North Kohala crash on Akoni Pule Highway.
