Diamond Head project completed

The state has finished its emergency rockfall mitigation project at Diamond Head State Monument, nine days after work began. Diamond Head Road has reopened.Heavy rains triggered a rockslide from an exterior slope of the crater, on March 31, immediately upslope of the third lookout on Diamond Head Road.
After the Department of Land and Natural Resources project completed the rock removal yesterday, the road was cleaned-up and guardrails re-installed.
