UH men beat BYU in five

Hawaii won a five-set college men's volleyball battle over BYU, 27-30, 30-26, 30-25, 26-30, 15-12, before a Senior Night crowd of 6,826 Saturday night at the Stan Sheriff Arena.

The Warriors extended their winning streak to 19 with the victory to improve to 23-4 on the season and 19-3 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.

Hawaii will be the No. 2 seed in the MPSF tournament and will host the winner of Wednesday's UCLA-UC Santa Barbara game, next Saturday at 7 p.m. at the SSC.

BYU (18-8, 14-8 MPSF) will be the No. 5 seed and will travel to Long Beach State Saturday.
