UH's Frash named WAC hitter of week

University of Hawai'i designated hitter Justin Frash was named the Western Athletic Conference's baseball hitter of the week, the conference office announced today.Frash, a junior from Camarillo, Calif., had five hits in eight at-bats (.625) in the Rainbows' two-game series sweep of Nevada over the weekend.
He had two hits in three at-bats and a run batted in Friday and three hits in five at-bats Saturday including a three-run double.
Louisiana Tech pitcher Matt Lacy was named the WAC pitcher of the week after a 1-0 shutout of Fresno State.
UH's Steven Wright was nominated for the award.
