Education dean leaving UH-Manoa

Randy Hitz, dean of the University of Hawai'i-Manoa College of Education, has accepted an appointment as the dean of the Graduate School of Education at Portland State University in Oregon. He is tentatively scheduled to leave Manoa in July.Hitz said he took the position to be closer to both his children, who recently moved to Seattle and started a business.
University officials said no replacement has been named yet.
