Saturday's UH baseball game to start earlier

Advertiser Staff

The University of Hawai'i has moved the starting time of Saturday's baseball game to accommodate its men's volleyball playoff match.

The baseball game against New Mexico State at Les Murakami Stadium, originally scheduled for 6:35 p.m., will now start at 5:30 p.m.

The UH volleyball quarterfinal playoff match at Stan Sheriff will start at 7 p.m.

UH will play the winner of Wednesday's UCLA-Santa Barbara match in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation playoffs.

Also, KFVE (Channel 5, cable 5), which originally was scheduled to telecast the baseball game Saturday, will now show the men's volleyball match.

Radio station 1420 will broadcast the baseball game, then breakaway to cover volleyball. It will provide updates of the baseball game.

The baseball team plays New Mexico State in a series, starting Friday at 6:35 p.m. and ending with a 1:05 p.m. Sunday game.

Tickets are on sale for Saturday's MPSF men's volleyball match. Fans may purchase tickets at all UH ticket outlets, on the Web site (HawaiiAthletics.com), or over the telephone at 944-BOWS (2697).
