Woman, 27, held in vehicle attack

A 27-year-old woman was arrested in Waimanalo Monday after she allegedly tried to ram a car driven by her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend and push it off the road.

The new girlfriend, 21, told police she was driving through Waimanalo at about 3:15 p.m. when the former girlfriend, also driving, began to ram her car.

Patrol officers found the ex-girlfriend and arrested her on suspicion of first-degree criminal property damage.


BOGUS CURRENCY LEADS TO ARREST

A 37-year-old woman was arrested Monday after she allegedly tried to buy items at a Wahiawa convenience store using counterfeit currency.

Police said the woman entered the store at about 1:45 p.m. and gave the cashier a $20 bill, which was determined to be bogus. Police were called to the store and arrested the woman on suspicion of second-degree forgery.


MAN, 47, SUSPECT IN HAMMER ATTACK

A 47-year-old Waimanalo man was arrested Monday after he allegedly smashed with a sledgehammer a car belonging to a 32-year-old woman.

Police were told that an argument between the man and the woman on Ku'ulei Road in Kailua at about 11 a.m. escalated when the man brought out a sledgehammer and began to pound the woman's car.

The woman told police the man threatened her with the sledgehammer, and that she ran away. Officers arrested the man on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening.


WOMAN SUSPECTED OF MAKING THREAT

A 42-year-old Nanakuli woman was arrested Monday in connection with an incident Sunday night in which a 25-year-old woman reported an injury to her leg caused by a thrown screwdriver.

The younger woman told police she got into an argument with the older woman about 11:25 p.m. during which the older woman threw a screwdriver at her. The younger woman told police the screwdriver hit her in the leg, causing a minor cut, and that the other woman threatened to stab her should she see her again on the street.

Police arrested the older woman on suspicion of second-degree terroristic threatening.
