Police Beat: Two men arrested towing stolen truck

Police arrested two men in Nanakuli last night as they were allegedly using their pickup truck to tow a stolen truck.Police responded to a possible auto theft in progress call about 9 p.m. on Helelua Place and reported finding the two men, ages 38 and 45, towing away a truck that was found to have been stolen.
Police ordered the two men to pull over and arrested them on suspicion of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle.
Police investigating sexual assault complaint
Police are investigating a complaint filed by a 27-year-old woman who said she was sexually assaulted by man she met at a bar early yesterday morning.
The woman told police she befriended the man and invited him to go to her apartment, where the man sexually assaulted her about 5:30 a.m.
No arrests had been made in the case as of this morning.
Defective tail lights lead to stolen-car arrest
A suspected car thief was arrested in Manoa last night after a police officer saw him driving a car with defective tail lights.
The patrol officer noticed the lights weren't working and checked on the car's license plates to discover a 69-year-old woman had reported it stolen. The officer ordered the 41-year-old man who was driving the car to pull over and arrested him on suspicion of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle.
Suspect in strong-arm robbery arrested
Police arrested a 31-year-old woman yesterday as a suspect in the strong-arm robbery three months ago of a 47-year-old woman in 'Ewa Beach.
The older woman told police she was sitting in her car when the younger woman approached, punched her in the chest and took the necklace she was wearing.
The older woman told police the assailant then reached over and grabbed her purse, which was on the seat next to her. The woman told police the younger woman dragged her out of her car as she tried to hold on to the purse, which was eventually taken away from her.
The robber ran away with the purse but police were able to identify a suspect in the case as a result of their investigation and arrested her yesterday at the Oahu Community Correctional Center on suspicion of second-degree robbery.
Man arrested in 2005 assault case
A 39-year-old 'Ewa Villages man was arrested yesterday in connection with an August 2005 attack on a 26-year-old woman.
The woman told police she had been arguing with the man about 5 p.m. on Aug. 16, 2005, in 'Ewa Beach when he punched her several times in the face, injuring her.
Police said the woman drove herself to a hospital where doctors deemed her injuries "substantial."
They said an unspecified amount of time passed before the woman reported the case and named the alleged attacker.
Officers caught up with the man yesterday and arrested him on suspicion of second-degree assault.
