Manuwai re-signs with Jaguars

Advertiser Staff

Former University of Hawai'i guard Vince Manuwai, a restricted free agent who started every game last season for the Jacksonville Jaguars, re-signed with the team today.

The 6-foot-2, 312-pounder has started 46 of his 47 games since the Jags drafted him in the third round in 2003.

The Jaguars have two Hawai'i players on their offensive line. Chris Naeole, a former Kahuku standout, is the other starting guard.

Jacksonville offered Manuwai the league's minimum tender in early March, ensuring the right to match any other team's offer or receive a compensatory draft pick. Instead, Manuwai signed the tender offer.
