Small to moderate surf expected through Monday

Advertiser Staff

It's not expected to be a huge weekend for big-wave surfers, according to the latest surf report by the National Weather Service.

The latest report calls for a south swell that will bring moderate-sized surf through mid-week, with a north northwest swell expected Saturday.

The northwest swell will likely produce small to moderate surf heights along north facing shores Saturday night through Sunday, according to the weather service.

Surf heights are forecast heights of the face or front of waves.

Today, the surf along east-facing shores is 3 to 5 feet and expected to decrease to 2 to 4 feet tomorrow.

Surf on north-facing shores today is 4 to 7 and expected to decrease to 3 to 6 tomorrow.

West-facing shores are 2 to 4 feet today, decreasing to 1 to 3 feet tomorrow.

South-facing shores are expected to continue to get surf 4 to 6 feet through tomorrow.
