Lingle approves emergency funding

Gov. Linda Lingle today signed two bills into law that provide emergency funding for various state operations.One bill appropriates $4,908,748 in general funds to the Department of Education to pay for electricity costs.
The other bill provides an emergency approriation of $1.5 million in general funds and raises the state's insurance revolving fund ceiling by $6.5 million to cover higher insurance costs for this year.
