O'ahu roadway lane closures under way

The state Department of Transportation advises O'ahu motorists of the following roadwork projects under way today:

  • Single lane closures may be in place along Halawa Heights Road near Camp Smith until 3 p.m. for roadway resurfacing work.

  • Possible single lane closures may be in place along Halawa Heights Road between Ulune Street and Fernridge Place, in the vicinity of Camp Smith, for median curb work and roadway widening.

  • The right makai bound lane of the Kahuapaani Overpass will be closed until 3 p.m. for bridge work.

  • There will be lane closures along Kamehameha Highway between Waiahole Valley Road and Crouching Lion Inn through Friday for resurfacing work. One lane of traffic in either direction will be closed and contra-flowed until 3 p.m. Work to resurface the eight-mile stretch of highway is expected to run until June.

  • Both shoulder lanes along Puuloa Road from Kamehameha Highway to Salt Lake Boulevard will be closed until 3 p.m. for utility work. Lane closures may also occur in various directions at the intersection of Puuloa Road and Salt Lake Boulevard until 3 p.m. for utility line installation.

  • A single lane closure may occur in either direction along Puuloa Road between Salt Lake Boulevard and Kamehameha Highway until 3 p.m. for utility line work.

  • The right westbound lane of the H-1 Freeway will be closed from the H-1/Moanalua Freeway merge to the Pearl City off-ramp, 10 tonight to 10:30 p.m. tomorrow; Sunday, 12:01 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

  • Various single lane closures may occur in the both direction along Kalanianaole Highway between Castle Junction and Kapaa Quarry Road until 3 p.m. for traffic signal installation and pavement striping.
