Police Beat: Teen reports robbery

Police are looking for a man in his 20s who allegedly robbed a 15-year-old boy yesterday.

At 7:50 p.m. last night the 15-year-old was walking home through a downtown Honolulu baseball field when the man approached him and demanded money, police said. The boy refused and the man punched him in the face, then took the boy's wallet and MP3 player from his pocket.

The man is wanted on suspicion of second-degree robbery.

Kalihi bank robbed

Police are looking for a man in his 30s who robbed a bank in Kalihi with a stun gun yesterday.

At 3:40 p.m. yesterday the man walked into the bank, approached a teller, and demanded money, police said. He then brandished a stun gun while the clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

The man fled the bank on foot.

Man arrested in girlfriend's beating

A 28-year-old Makiki man was arrested yesterday after he beat his girlfriend and stole her ATM card, police said.

At 9 p.m. Thursday the 28-year-old man assaulted his 28-year-old girlfriend and forced her to give him her ATM card and PIN number. The man left the house after the confrontation.

Yesterday, District 1 patrol officers found the man and arrested him on suspicion of second-degree robbery and abuse of a household member, police
