Fourth-ranked Hawai'i stunned top-ranked and previously undefeated Southern California, 10-9, on Saturday to advance to Sunday's Mountain Pacific Sports Federation women's water polo championship match at Irvine, Calif.

Hawai'i is 17-9. USC is 25-1. The Rainbow Wahine face No. 3 Stanford (21-4) in the championship. The Cardinal defeated No. 2 UCLA, 5-4, in Saturday's other semifinal.

On Saturday, Iefke Van Belkum scored three goals to lead the Rainbow Wahine, who led 5-4 at halftime and built a 9-6 lead after three quarters. The Trojans' rally fell short in the fourth period.

The Rainbow Wahine will make their second consecutive NCAA Nationals appearance, May 12 to 14 at Davis, Calif. The eight-team tournament is made up of five conference champions and three at-large picks.
