UH completes baseball sweep of Sacramento St.

Ian Harrington pitched a complete game, and Luis Avila slugged a three-run home run to lead Hawai'i over Sacramento State, 5-2, Sunday to sweep the Western Athletic Conference series and pull into sole possession of first place.

The Rainbows improved to 32-12 overall and 10-6 in the WAC, while the Hornets dropped to 10-27 and 8-10.

Harrington (5-3) allowed two runs, one earned, six hits with no walks and three strikeouts. Avila's three-run home run in the third snapped a 1-all tie.

Hawai'i leaves Sunday night for Louisiana, where it will play a non-conference game against Grambling State on Tuesday and a four-game conference series against Louisiana Tech starting Thursday.
