Tennis notes

The 2006 summer schedule for low-cost lessons is out. Registration deadline is May 22 for the lesson series that starts June 5, and July 11 for the series that begins July 24.

Classes are available for kids and adults of all skill levels at parks all across O'ahu. Cardio classes are also available, as well as inaugural advanced beginner and intermediate cardio programs. Other new classes are also being offered, including those for toddlers (ages 4 to 5).

Cost for six 1-hour lessons is $30.

Kailua and Kane'ohe District Parks work on their own schedules and have classes twice a week for three weeks. Registration deadlines for their three summer sessions are May 30, July 5 and Aug. 2. Cost is $30, with kids $20 at Kane'ohe.

RALLEYBALL LEAGUE

Juniors ages 8 to 13 that have completed two lesson sessions are eligible to compete in the Ralleyball league, which has a team format and is separated into East Honolulu, Honolulu and Central/Leeward areas. Cost is $20 for a season that runs six to eight weeks. It begins in June.

Wailea lessons: Wailea Tennis Club is offering beginning tennis classes this summer for adults. The Adult Beginner Program is a weekly series of four classes, scheduled for Tuesdays (June 6, 13, 20 and 27), from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Wailea Tennis Club.

The Advanced Beginner Program is also a four-week course that will take place on Tuesdays (July 11, 18 and 25, Aug. 1), from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Cost for each program is $120.
