Aboriginal traditional. Nordic folk. Indonesian pop. And my personal favorite genre of music to make it through another Tuesday ... Uzbek sozandas. National Geographic is offering all of the above and more than 21,000 songs from 116 countries for purchase on its new "World Music" Web site.

This being National Geographic, you can also learn all you want about the genres, countries and musicians on the site. Each song downloads in MP3 format and costs 99 cents. Fifty percent of that goes straight to the musicians. Check it out at http://worldmusic.nationalgeographic.com.
