So "Lost" may have gotten stiffed in the best-series category of this year's Oscars. Who cares, when the learned fanboys at Spike TV's Scream Awards deem you worthy of a nomination for their ultimate scream award?

Nominations for the horror/sci-fi/fantasy awards were announced at last month's Comic-Con International convention in San Diego.

"Lost" garnered four nominations in all. In addition to ultimate scream, the show was nominated for the best-TV- show category, where it's competing with "Battlestar Galactica," "Doctor Who," "Masters of Horror" and "Smallville."

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje ("Mr. Eko") will go up against Superman (Brandon Routh) and three others in the breakout-performance category. Evangeline Lilly ("Kate") was nominated for best scream.

NIGERIA, LONDON ARE REALLY O'AHU

Until "Lost" began filming here two years ago, who would have guessed that Hawai'i could serve as a hub for flights (of fancy) to Nigeria, London, New York, Iraq, Sydney, Seoul and Iowa?

Much to the delight of the local film industry (and the folks at the tourism authority), "Lost" has done wonders in showcasing Hawai'i's versatility as an actor. Over the past two seasons, Manoa, downtown, Nu'uanu, Waikiki, the North Shore and other O'ahu spots have doubled as a host of international locales, singlehandedly creating the curious new economic sub-area of " 'Lost' Tourism."

Now, through a new Web site, lostvirtualtour.com, fans of the ABC show have access to a database of the show's filming locations. The site includes more than 1,500 pictures representing more than 170 filming locales.

Other sites have tried to compile similar data, but the anonymous proprietors of lostvirtual tour.com boast that two-thirds of the sites cited on their list have never been revealed online.
