Police Beat: Three arrested for beating couple in home

Three men allegedly forced their way into a Kailua home yesterday and assaulted a man and a woman living at the residence, police reported.The woman, 24, told police that the men 30, 30, and 45 - had shown up at her door near Kaimake Loop and Kaha Street and asked if her boyfriend, 40, was at home. She told police she answered "no," but the men allegedly opened the door and entered anyway. Police said the three men found the woman's boyfriend inside the house, argued with him and attacked him.
The woman suffered slight injuries when she tried to intervene.
The three men fled the scene, but police said they located the suspects in the area and arrested them on suspicion of second degree burglary.
Man arrested for alleged sexual assault of girl, 14
Police arrested yesterday a 28-year-old man in Waikiki on suspicion of third degree sexual assault against a 14-year-old girl.
Police responded to the sexual assault call around 1:45 p.m. and arrested the man near the scene.
Woman alleges sexual assault on internet date
Police are searching for a man in his 20s or 30s who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman he had met on the internet. A 29-year-old Kane'ohe woman told police Monday she was sexually assaulted by the man after meeting him in person.
Man taking blowtorch to stolen tool box arrested
A man, 41, was arrested yesterday in Pearl City after he was seen allegedly trying to blowtorch the lock off a stolen tool box.
Earlier in the day, a 43-year-old man reported to police a trailer with five large tool boxes was stolen from a construction site. Around 10:30 p.m., an anonymous caller reported a man was using a blowtorch to open a toolbox.
Police responded and recognized the stolen toolbox after working on trailer case earlier. Police said they called the 43-year-old man who identified the toolbox and other tools in the area taken from his trailer.
Police arrested the 41-year-old man on suspicion of detaining stolen property. Police estimate the value of the recovered items at $300.
