Police Beat: Woman arrested in machete incident

Police arrested a 31-year-old woman yesterday who in May allegedly threatened her ex-boyfriend's wife with two machetes.

A 25-year-old woman reported to police that her husband's ex-girlfriend threatened her with two machetes and then beat her then ran away before the police arrived.

Through an investigation, police located and arrested the woman on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and third-degree assault.

Man arrested in choking incident

Police arrested Monday a man who allegedly twice choked a woman living at the same Waipahu residence.

The woman told police that she was arguing with the man in their residence when he began choking her with both hands. A friend then reportedly intervened and told the man to stop. He then stopped and walked away, police said. Police found the man nearby and arrested him on suspicion of felony abuse of a household member.
