Ongoing—Hawai'i State Junior Golf Association is seeking volunteers for all tournaments around the state. Remaining 2006 Events: Aug. 26-27, U.S. Army Jr. Classic, W.J. Nagorski G.C., O'ahu; Sept. 16-17, HSJGA Junior Tour Series, Puakea G.C., Kaua'i; Oct. 7-8, HSJGA Junior Tour Series, Waikoloa G.C., Hawai'i; Oct. 21-22, HSJGA Junior Tour Series, Kahili G.C., Maui; Nov. 4-5, Kiahuna Jr. Classic, Kiahuna G.C., Kaua'i; Dec. 2-3, Ulupalakua Ranch HSJGA Tournament of Champions, Wailea Emerald, Maui. Tomorrow—Second Swing for the Gold Tournament, a benefit for the Hawai'i Special Olympics, 11:30 a.m. shotgun start, Hawai'i Prince Golf Course. Format: three-person modified scramble. Fee: $450 team, $150 per player, space is limited to first 83 teams. Information: Special Olympics office, 943-8808, or San Diego Golf Academy, 236-2800.

Wednesday—Deadline for USLHC Golf Tournament, on Aug. 23 at Kapolei Golf Course. Check-in 11:15 a.m., noon shotgun start. Fee: $85 per person. Proceeds benefit the US Lacrosse-Hawai'i Chapter to support the growth of lacrosse in the islands. Information: Ron Foo, 780-9008 or e-mail ronoahu@yahoo.com.

Aug. 21—3rd Annual FORE THE CURE tournament, at Mid-Pacific Country Club, noon shotgun start. Format: Three-person scramble. Fee: $700 per team, $250 per person. Proceeds benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes. Information: Hawai'i Chapter of JDRF, 988-1000 or visit www.jdrf.org.

Aug. 30—Deadline for the 56th Korean Invitational Tournament, starting at 7:30 a.m., Sept. 9 to 10, at the Pali Golf Course. Fee: $125 ($110 before Aug. 21).
