"The Land Has Eyes" by University of Hawai'i-Manoa professor Vilsoni Hereniko, will screen today as part of the first Lahaina Film Festival at Campbell Park, in Lahaina.

On the Valley Isle, the first Lahaina Film Festival is happening today from 4 to 11 p.m. at Campbell Park, on Front Street.

The films include "The Land Has Eyes," "Wa'a Ho'olaule'a," "Rolling Down Like Pele," "Ipo Le Manu," "Dreams of a Pagan Tattooed Savage," "Fishbowl" and "The Red Hibiscus."

There's food and lots of music, too, by George Kahumoku, Herb "Ohta-San" Ohta, Tony Gamble and others.
