Maui OnStage auditions for all roles for the 2006-2007 season, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Iao Theater, Wailuku, Maui. Bring a resume, headshot and prepare an up-tempo song and a dramatic or comedic monologue. (808) 244-8680.

The Sacred Hearts Thespian Troupe seeks male actors, high school or college age, to perform in the mid-October production of "Lizzie Borden" or "The Uninvited" at Sacred Hearts Academy. Call for audition appointment: 373-2586. Deadline is Aug. 20.

Aloha Performing Arts Company (Big Island) auditions for the Oct. 6-22 production of the musical comedy "Honk, Jr." 6:30 p.m. Aug. 21 and 22 at APAC's loft in Kainaliu, Big Island. All parts are for boys and girls, 18 and under, who must have a parent's or guardian's written permission to audition. Auditions will consist of movement, singing and reading from the script. The Actors Group and the Filipino Community Center audition for the Oct. 13-22 production of Virgilio Menor Felipe's play "To U.S. With Aloha and Mabuhay," 1-5 p.m. Sept. 2 and 3, UH-Manoa School of Architecture auditorium. Parts available for males and females of all ethnicities and of any age. Auditions consist of cold readings of the script and some improvisational group games. MUSIC/DANCE

Hawaii Youth Opera Chorus auditions for boys and girls (grades K-12) to participate in the training, performance and touring opportunities in their choral ensembles, Saturday and Aug. 26, UH-Manoa Music Department. Audition fees of $5 for grades K-2 and $25 for grades 3-12 will be applied, once accepted into the chorus, to the semester tuition of $130 for K-2 and $250 for grades 3-12. Hawaii Opera Theatre auditions men and women for a school-touring Oct. 23-Nov. 3 production of Gilbert and Sullivan's "The Mikado." 55th Cherry Blossom Festival of Honolulu seeks applications for Cherry Blossom Queen from women, 19-26, who are of at least 50 percent Japanese ancestry, a U.S. citizen and Hawai'i resident. 2007 Miss East Oahu and Miss Kahala pageant seeks contestants, ages 17-24, for the Sept. 23 pageant to be held at Windward Community College. Women must be single, never married, with no children, have talent and a platform issue. Competition, which is a preliminary to the Miss Hawaii and Miss America pageants, includes personal interview, swimsuit and evening wear, talent and questions on the chosen platform issue segments. 342-1516.
