Arrest made on Big Island for graffiti, burglary incidents

North Kohala Police have arrested a 16-year-old Kapaau boy in connection with a rash of burglaries and graffiti damage to businesses in the Kapaau and Hawi area from April 24 through yesterday.The boy, whose name is being withheld because he is a minor, was charged yesterday with eight counts of criminal property damage and five counts of burglary. He has been released into the custody of his parents. The case will be sent to Family Court.
