UH RB Anderson changes mind, will stay

By Stephen Tsai
Advertiser Staff Writer

Running back Jazen Anderson has changed his mind and will remain with the University of Hawai'i football team.

Last week, Anderson announced he was leaving because he said the Warriors' four-wide, one-back offense did not fit his running style.

At UH, the running back is used mostly as a backfield blocker.

Anderson said he made a mistake in deciding to quit and said camaraderie was more important.

The UH coaches had extended an open invitation for Anderson to return at any time.

Anderson, who was supposed to leave Hawai'i today, decided to accept the coaches' offer.

He will resume practicing Wednesday.
