Lei quits UH football team

Stephen Lei, an All-State defensive back and 2006 Saint Louis School graduate, has decided to quit the University of Hawai'i football team.Lei was competing as the middle linebacker in the Warriors' 3-4 defense.
Lei is leaving to focus on academics and work. He was not on scholarship, although he was invited to UH's training camp as a "preferred walk-on."
Lei is 6 feet and weighs 220 pounds.
