Part of 'Aiea Access Road closed for repairs

Barrier and electrical work will close part of the 'Aiea Access Road through Thursday. The construction work is one of several road projects that will slow travel at various spots around O'ahu. In observance of the statehood holiday, no lane closures are scheduled for Friday.

Plenty of work along 'Aiea Access Road

The right south-bound lane along 'Aiea Access Road from Moanalua Road to Kamehameha Highway will be closed through Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for barrier and electrical work. Lanes may be closed along the southeast on-ramp (eastbound) from Kamehameha Highway to the Moanalua Freeway. Lanes may also be closed in both directions along Moanalua Freeway, in the vicinity of the 'Aiea Access Road overpass through Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for roadwork.

Also, lanes may be closed along Kamehameha Highway in both directions between McGrew Point and Salt Lake Boulevard through Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for guardrail work.

Honolulu-bound closures on Pali

There will be lane closures along Pali Highway in the Honolulu-bound direction between Castle Junction and School Street through Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for pavement marking and striping.

Farrington Highway closures in Waipahu

There will be single-lane closures on the westbound side of Farrington Highway between Kahuali'i and Paiwa streets 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday for shoulder-lane and drainage work.

Nightly H-3 Kane'ohe-bound closures

There will be Kane'ohe-bound lane closures on the H-3 Freeway between the Halekou Interchange and H-3 tunnels through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for pavement repair.

Work scheduled on Kunia Road

Lanes may be closed in the northbound direction along Kunia Road between the H-1 Freeway and Wilikina Drive through Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for pavement striping.

Work scheduled near Camp Smith

Lanes may be closed along Halawa Heights Road near Camp Smith through Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for roadwork. Lanes may be closed along Halawa Heights Road between Ulune Street and Fernridge Place, in the vicinity of Camp Smith, through Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for pavement marking and sign installation.

Lanes closed on Pu'uloa Road

Both shoulder lanes along Pu'uloa Road from Kamehameha Highway to Salt Lake Boulevard will be closed through Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for utility work. Also, lanes will be closed in both directions along Pu'uloa Road between Kamehameha Highway and Salt Lake Boulevard through Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for utility work. Other lanes may be closed along Pu'uloa Road at the Salt Lake Boulevard and Pukoloa Street intersection through Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for utility work.

Nimitz eastbound closure Wednesday night

There will be a complete closure on Nimitz Highway, Honolulu-bound, at the Kalihi Stream Bridge from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Thursday for bridge repair.

During the closure, traffic off the H-1 Freeway Airport Viaduct eastbound will be diverted to the Middle Street/Dillingham Boulevard Exit (Exit 18B). Traffic along Nimitz Highway under the H-1 Freeway Airport Viaduct will also be diverted to Dillingham Boulevard. A special duty officer will direct traffic. All westbound lanes along Nimitz Highway will remain open.  

Work set near Crouching Lion

Lanes along Kamehameha Highway between Waiahole Valley Road and Crouching Lion Inn will be closed through Thursday for roadwork. During this time, one lane of traffic in either direction will be closed and contra-flowed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
