Juror questionnaires sent out for 2007

Advertiser Staff

Potential jurors are required to complete and return juror questionnaires that will be sent out in the next two weeks by the state judiciary's Jury Pool Office.

Some 207,000 questionnaires will be mailed for potential juries in 2007: 85,000 on O'ahu, 47,000 on Maui, 55,000 on the Big Island and 20,000 on Kaua'i. Failure to respond to the questionnaire could lead to penalties.

Potential jurors are randomly selected from driver's license, voter registration and state income tax lists and must be 18 years old, a U.S. and Hawai'i citizen and able to understand English.
