Rush hour: Water main repairs delay traffic on Vineyard

Advertiser Staff

'Ewa-bound drivers along Vineyard Boulevard near Pua Lane are experience delays as Board of Water Supply crews continue to repair a water main that broke last night.

To work on the water main, crews closed two left 'ewa-bound lanes and the far left town-bound lane of Vineyard Boulevard. Police officers are assisting with traffic control.

Board of Water Supply crews dug a trench to expose the water pipe and discovered a hairline crack in a nearby sewer main, which required city crews to fix.

Meanwhile, an accident has blocked two east-bound lanes of Moanalua Freeway at the Puuloa exit after the Tripler off-ramp. A traffic accident in 'Aiea has blocked the left lane of the east-bound H-1 Freeway before the Kaamilo overpass.
