Business briefs: New state Data Book available online

The Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism today released the 38th annual edition of the State of Hawaii Data Book on the DBEDT web site at http://www.hawaii.gov/dbedt. The State Data Book has 797 tables covering geographical, social, economic, and political information relating to Hawaii.The following are just a few examples of the interesting information that can be found in the new State Data Book:
– The sales receipts for establishments with no paid employees grew at a faster rate for Hawai'i than for the nation as a whole between 2000 and 2004.
– Hawai'i ranked 13th highest in the nation in 2004 for workers holding more than one job.
More Clear Channel radio stations to broadcast in high definition
Clear Channel Radio said 269 of its radio stations nationwide, including four in Hawai'i, are set to begin high-definition digital broadcasts.
The additional stations represent the third wave of a larger launch begun in January. The new channels also will be made available at the company's HD2 streaming site www.clearchannelmusic.com/hdradio/ as they go live.
The stations in Hawai'i are: KSSK-FM, KUCD-FM, KDNN-FM, and KIKI-FM.
