Hawaii' unemployment rate falls to 3.0% in July

Hawai'i's unemployment rate fell to 3.0 percent in July from 3.1 percent in June on a seasonally adjusted basis, the state Department of Labor reported today.That compared with an increase in the national unemployment rate to a seasonally adjusted 4.8 percent in July from 4.6 percent a month earlier.
Maui County's unemployment rate 3.1 percent on an unadjusted basis was the lowest in the state. Honolulu was next at 3.2 percent, followed by Kaua'i at 3.3 percent and the Big Island at 3.9 percent.
