Pearl City Seniors gain World Series semis

Regardless of the result of its game Thursday, Pearl City's Senior Little League team will advance to the semifinals of the World Series for 14- to 16-year-olds in Bangor, Maine.Pearl City, which is 3-0 in its pool, is playing Bangor Westside/East Thursday.
According the Little League web site, Pearl City will play Bloomfield, N.J., in one semifinal Friday at 11:30 a.m.
Paraguana of Falcon, Venezuela will play Yorktown, Va., in the other semifinal.
The semifinal winners advance to Saturday's World Series championship at 8:30 a.m.
