Hilo advances to Ripken U.S. finals

Hilo rallied from a 3-0 deficit to defeat Satsuma, Ala, 7-3, Friday to advance to the U.S. Championship game of the Cal Ripken World Series for 12-year-olds in Aberdeen, Md.Hilo plays Bryant, Ark., Saturday for the U.S. title at 12:30 p.m. Hawai'i time.
Bryant defeated Hilo, 2-0, Wednesday in pool play.
The U.S. winner will play the International champion on Sunday for the World Series title.
Mexico plays Dominican Republic for the International title Saturday.
