Wilson over-par in PGA Championship

Advertiser Staff

Former Kaneohe resident Dean Wilson shot a 2-over-par 74 Saturday in the third round of the PGA Championship, the last of four major PGA tournaments this year.

Wilson, who shot a 2-under 70 Friday to just make the cut, started well Saturday on the 7,561-yard Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Ill.

He birdied the first two holes -- a par-4 and a par-3. But he bogeyed the par-4 third, par-4 9th, par-5 10th and par-4 first.

Wilson has a three-round total of 2-over 218. The leaders are all 10-under or better.

Wilson, 36, a Castle High School alum, is coming off his first PGA Tour victory last week at The International.
