Waialua QB Fore passes for 538 yards

Quarterback Caleb Fore passed for a record 538 yards to lead Waialua over Honoka'a, 42-27, last night in nonleague football on the Big Island.
Fore's 538 yards surpassed Roosevelt's Andrew Kamana'o, who passed for 481 yards in a 41-20 win against Kalani in 1991 during an O'ahu Interscholastic Association East game.
Fore completed 28 of 38 passes with five touchdowns against one interception. Four of the TDs were to Adam Foster, who had five receptions for 139 yards.
Fore also scored on a 15-yard run in the fourth quarter in a game that was tied at 21 at the half.
Donovan Matas led all receivers with nine catches for 214 yards, while Josh Whitaker added four receptions for 134 yards for Waialua.
Neither the leagues nor the Hawai'i High School Athletic Association have official individual statistics. The HHSAA only has records from state tournaments.
