South swell expected to arrive later today

A much anticipated south swell continues to head for Hawai'i, but it may be later today before it finally arrives.The National Weather Service forecast calls for surf of 1 to 3 feet this morning along south-facing shores of O'ahu, increasing to 3 to 5 feet later this afternoon.
A second installment of the south swell is due in on Thursday and could boost surf heights on the south shore up near the 8-foot advisory level.
Elsewhere, surf today is expected to reach 2 to 4 feet along eastern shores, 1 to 3 feet along western shores, and 2 feet or less along the northern shoreline.
