  • "Beerfest": Two brothers (Erik Stolhanske, Paul Soter) go to Oktoberfest in Munich to scatter the ashes of their beer-patron grandfather, and they stumble on a secret Olympics-style drinking competition called Beerfest, where they incur the wrath of their German relations, a brewing family that drinks them under the table and sends them packing back to America. They vow vengeance and begin a yearlong training regimen to win back their "honor."   • "Celestine Prophecy": Based on a book by James Redfield, the film follows an adventurer who goes to Peru seeking the Celestine scrolls. The prophecy predict a spiritual awakening. Opens tomorrow at Maui Mall Megaplex Cinemas (Maui). (PG)

  • "How to Eat Fried Worms": Luke Benward is Billy, an 11-year-old who runs afoul of his class bully, Joe (Adam Hicks), on the first day at his new school. Joe and his toadies load up Billy's lunch Thermos with slimy worms, prompting an act of defiance by the new kid and a bet with his tormentors that he can eat 10 worms in a single day.   • "Idlewild": In the 1930s South, Percival, a shy piano player (Andre Benjamin of OutKast, aka Andre 3000), and Rooster, a speakeasy's showy lead performer and manager (Antwan Patton, aka Big Boi), fight to follow their dreams.   • "Invincible": This real-life sports drama centers on the unlikely 1970s success story of Vince Papale (Mark Wahlberg), who without ever having played college football was hired by the Philadelphia Eagles and went on to play for three seasons.
