Oahu, Kauai will be wet

Advertiser Staff

Rain is expected for much of Kauai and Oahu today thanks to a system about 900 miles north of the Islands, which is making the air unstable and cutting off trade winds.

The National Weather Service said the cloudy conditions will likely persist through Wednesday. Isolated thunderstorms could form over parts of Oahu today.

High temperatures for the state today are expected between 81 and 86 degrees, with variable winds at about 15 mph. Lows tonight will be between 71 and 76 degrees.
