Rainbow Wahine outlast Pepperdine again

The University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine volleyball team did it again, outlasting Pepperdine in five games in another volleyball thriller Saturday at Stan Sheriff Center.The scores were 30-28, 30-26, 25-30, 23-30, 21-19.
Just as it did Friday, Pepperdine was on the verge of winning, serving for the match five times.
But just as they did Friday, the Rainbow Wahine refused to lose, finally winning it on a stuff block.
UH, ranked No. 7 nationally, is now 2-0. No. 19 Pepperdine is 0-2.
It was career victory No. 899 for UH's Dave Shoji.
