The Duke Kahanamoku OceanFest ends today with a full roster of events.

  • 9 a.m. Duke's Ocean Mile Swim, in front of the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach.

  • 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Duke Kahanamoku exhibit and book signings at Outrigger Waikiki. Besides DeSoto Brown (see above), the authors and their surf-related books are: Kathy "the real-life Gidget" Zuckerman, "Gidget"; Sandra Hall, "Duke: A Great Hawaiian"; Carmen Geshell, "The Surf Rats of Waikiki Beach"; Paul Holmes, "Dale Velzy is Hawk"; Stuart Coleman, "Eddie Would Go."

  • 4:45 p.m. Waikiki Lei Parade from Outrigger Waikiki to Duke's statue, which will be draped with lei.

  • 5 p.m. Sunset on the Beach featuring the Denzel Washington thriller "Inside Man." (Tomorrow, the Sunset on the Beach flick is 2004's surf documentary "Blue Horizon," which compares and contrasts contest animal Andy Irons and soul surfer Dave Rastovich.)
