As surf drops, no significant swells in sight

Advertiser Staff

The surf along south shores is expected to decline to 2 to 4 feet today, with no significant swell expected in the forecast through the end of the week.

Surf along east and west shores today will be 1 to 3 feet and north shore surf will be two feet or less.

Wave height is measured by the face or front of the waves and the forecast is based on the height in the zone of maximum refraction. Surfers and ocean-goers should expect to encounter rip currents near any surf zone.
