GOING VEGAS
Fiesta adds sports bar, parking

By Anthony Curtis

The Fiesta Henderson has completed a $70 million expansion, adding a 1,500-space parking garage, a sports bar, and an upgraded race and sports book, slot-club booth, and registration area. Phase II, including a 12-screen theater, food court, and arcade, will be completed within a year.

WEDDING CRASHERS: Beginning Friday, Clark County's 24-hour marriage license bureau is eliminating all graveyard shifts. As a result, Las Vegas' status as a place you can get married 24/7 will be eliminated. The bureau will be open from 8 a.m. to midnight daily.

RECORD JUMBO: The biggest Station Casinos Jumbo Jackpot ever has been hit. The $149,394 jackpot on a penny keno machine also rewarded more than 1,500 other Boarding Pass members who were playing at the time with $79,050 ($50 each) in free slot play. The jackpot resets at $100,000 and must hit by $150,000.

MORE OYSTERS: Captain Charlie's Oyster Bar has opened at the Gold Coast, serving seafood from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m daily. Highly recommended is the ceviche for $11.75.

Q. When is the Playboy Club at the Palms expected to open?

A. The opening of the first Playboy Club in 16 years (since the last one closed) is Oct. 5.
