UH's Houston is WAC player of week

University of Hawaii outside hitter Jamie Houston, who led the Rainbow Wahine to two five-game victories over Pepperdine last weekend, has been named Western Athletic Conference volleyball Player of the Week.A sophomore from Huntsville, Ala., Houston was the kill leader both nights, recording 21 on Friday and a career-high 28 Saturday.
Houston also had 19 and 13 digs respectively.
No. 7 UH held off No. 19 Pepperdine both nights.
