TAKENAKA SERVICE SET FOR SATURDAY

A service of remembrance for MASAO TAKENAKA will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Nuuanu Congregational Church. Takenaka, an internationally known author of more than 50 publications, and frequent Honolulu speaker, died Aug. 17, 2006, in Kyoto, Japan. He had been the keynote speaker at Honolulu's Aha Pae'aina (annual statewide denomination conference) and guest speaker and lecturer at Nuuanu and Harris United Methodist Church. He is survived by wife, Yuriko; and children, Makoto and Yukako. Information: 595-3935.

BERNARD AGUSTIN, 92, of Puhi, Kaua'i, died Aug. 22, 2006. Born in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Tractor operator with McBryde Sugar Co.
