Return of trade winds offers welcome relief

Hooray! The trades are back! The trades are back!And Mother Nature's version of an environmentally friendly air conditioner should provide us with moderate to locally fresh trade winds through the remainder of the work week, according to the National Weather Service.
But look for the winds to back off quite a bit as the weekend arrives, forecasters aid.
The trades are expected to bring clouds and a few showers to windward and mauka areas, but total rainfall should be light overall through Friday, according to the forecast.
Here's what to expect:
Today, partly cloudy with isolated showers in the morning, then mostly sunny in the afternoon. Highs 81 to 89. Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
Tonight, mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Isolated showers. Lows 66 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
Thursday, partly cloudy with isolated showers in the morning, then mostly sunny in the afternoon. Highs 81 to 89. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
